Work to be done
We fell in love with this beautiful old house. We knew it would need a lot of TLC and elbow grease. With no heat, primitive plumbing, and critters living in the wall, we are beginning the renovation.
These grain barns have seen their share of wear and tear (not to mention turkey buzzard invasions).
Someday, they will be darlin’ bunk barns for grandbabies to camp out in or for guests to hunker down in after the bonfires have gone out. More on that plan here… https://ourdirtroadfarm.com/grammy-pammys-bunk-barn/
Uncovering this old windmill took a lot of umph and elbow grease. .COM managed to get it done without too much of a fright.
Glory days
Spend a morning on the porch over a warm cuppa coffee with us. Watch the sun break the horizon. See the deer canvas the field. Listen to the jenny wren sing her song or watch the barn swallows build their nest.
Talk awhile. Make a plan and then make it happen. It’s what we do. We are bringing this old farm back to her glory days.
