The Place to Be
We still get that peaceful easy feeling at DRF.
You haven’t lived until you’ve watched the sun come up from the front porch with a cuppa good coffee in hand.
Kinda goes without saying, but it’s really about the company we keep on that porch.
Work to Be Done
Trying to bring the farm back, piece by piece.
The original 1880s foursquare house, three stone-foundation barns built into the hillside, two grain barns, a corn crib ready to fall over, several uninvited inhabitants (i.e., turkey buzzards), a shooting range, and this old windmill that has seen way better days.
Memories to be Made
Had you told us that we would want to buy a farm…
in the middle of Nowhere-ville, Michigan…
some 30 years ago…
we would have told you were crazy.
But now, after six years of planning and saving, we can’t wait to begin this next chapter!
