Because life is a beautiful, messy paradox, we got some heartbreaking news Monday — just as the excavation was about to begin, my sister called to tell me her step-dad passed away.
Heartache doesn’t even begin to cover it. I had only known Keith for a few years, but I knew enough to know he was kind, gentle, true, and oh so strong. I am so grateful to Keith for all that he is and has ever been to my sisters and to Momma Barb.
So this one’s for you Keith…
Poppy. Pops. Keifie. Popeye.
Be such a man and live such a life,
that if every man were such as you,
and every life a life like yours,
this earth would be God’s paradise.
My heart is breaking for all that love you so.
